Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BiteTrack handles information when you use its website, onboarding funnel, mobile app, and related services.

Information We Process

Web Onboarding and App Handoff

When you complete the web onboarding, BiteTrack temporarily stores your profile answers through Supabase so they can be transferred to the mobile app after purchase. The browser receives a random, one-time handoff token. The profile is deleted when the token is redeemed, and the token expires if it is not used. Body measurements, goals, and nutrition targets are not placed in advertising URLs or sent as advertising-event properties.

Meal Photos and AI Analysis

With your permission, a selected meal image and any meal note are sent through a Supabase-hosted backend to Google Gemini to estimate calories and macros. BiteTrack does not intentionally store meal photos on Supabase. AI estimates can be wrong, so review and edit them before saving. Do not upload sensitive images.

How We Use Information

Payments and Subscriptions

Apple processes in-app purchases. RevenueCat manages subscription status and web billing, and Stripe processes web payment details. These providers may retain transaction and account records under their own policies and legal obligations.

Local Storage

The current app stores profile, meal, and progress data locally on your device. Deleting the app removes that local data from the device unless it has been backed up by an operating-system service outside BiteTrack's control.

Service Providers

BiteTrack uses Supabase for backend functions, Google Gemini for meal analysis, RevenueCat for subscription management, Stripe for web payments, AppsFlyer for mobile attribution, Meta for website advertising measurement, and food-data providers such as USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. Providers process information only for their applicable services.

Analytics and Attribution

BiteTrack may send limited events, campaign parameters, app or device identifiers, and subscription events to AppsFlyer, Meta, and RevenueCat. Website events sent to Meta are limited to page views, onboarding completion, checkout initiation, and purchase value and currency. BiteTrack does not send quiz answers, meal photos, meal notes, body measurements, food logs, or personalized calorie targets to advertising platforms.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website uses browser storage for funnel progress, campaign attribution, and temporary app handoff. Meta Pixel may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure visits and purchases and attribute them to advertising campaigns. Browser controls and applicable platform settings may limit this processing.

Sharing and Sale

BiteTrack does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with the service providers described above, when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer.

Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Temporary web profile handoffs expire and are deleted after redemption. Payment providers may retain purchase records, and service providers may retain technical or security logs under their policies. Contact support for privacy or deletion assistance.
